i was wondering.....i heard u can't use wire on cakes and i was on the pnkcakebox website and i seen they have cakes with like wires sticking out of the cakes with like stars, flowers and circles if they cant use wire does any one know what they use?

You can use those skinny straws that you get to stir coffee with to put the wires into.

the ones they use dont look like straws have u seen them?

If you have a Michaels store the Duff line carries wires that are safe to use with cake. Also my (texas) local cake supply shop carries wires that are safe to use with cake also. It's not that wire can't be used it just needs to be food safe. Hope that helps.

 

The coffee stirrers work well, but it's hard to find them in white, but I discovered if you get the small lollipop sticks, they have a small hole in the top that works well for wires too. :)
