Cake Turntable.

Has anybody used the Wilton tilting turntable, is it easier to pipe decorations on the sides? I am thinking of buying it but I thought I would check before I got it.

I have it but I don't use it as much as I thought I would. Also, when set level it wabbles a bit and isn't level. If you do LOTS of side piping it might be what you need but in my opinion I wouldn't waste my money on the Wilton one - too cheaply made.

I use the Wilton tilting turn table all the time. I love it. It does wobble a bit but you just have to make sure your cake is right in the middle, it's not that big of a deal. I like to tilt the cake when I do the sides. It's just easier for me that way.

I have a wilton one... somewhere burried in the supply closet. I bought a fat daddios turntable a few years ago and sooooo well worth the money. I LOVE it.. never wobbles... turns very smooth and never do a cake withut it. It is more expensive but watch for sales. I got mine on Amazon for $12.99 on a killer sale and if you ordered over $25 the shipping was free so I ordered 2 of them.

I have a really nice cast iron professional one (I think it's the same one I've seen them use on Cake Boss) my hubby got me for Christmas 2009. I LOOOOVE it - nice and sturdy and turns smoothly, plus it has grooves that mark 8, 9, 10 and 12 inch cakes so you know you've got them centered.
