Hi all,

 Ok just bought a 16oz containter of gumpaste mix, all i have to do is add water,  But my question is and it may be silly but, it says on the instructions to put 1 lb of the gumpaste container , with water, but i don tknow how much out of the 16 oz is 1 lb , I know sounds silly , but can any of you tell me how much is a 1 lb ? Please

16 oz = 1 lb
16 oz is one pound so sounds like you use the entire package if it is a 16 oz package. Be sure you allow time for it to rest after mixing it.
Thank you both for your help, was really hoping i didnt have to use the whole can , was hoping there would last longer then that
Jaci, after you mix your gumpaste, triple wrap it in plastic wrap and then put it in a ziploc bag. It should stay good indefintely as long as it is sealed properly. I keep mine for months before I use it up. As you work with it take out what you need and reseal the other. Gumpaste dries really fast so even sitting on the counter uncovered for a few minutes will make a difference.
or use half the water and half the mix... save the other half for later!
