Just to let everyone know, I baked and baked at different temps, but it didnt work. I eventually just left it overnight in the mould and it was ready to take out the next day. So no baking required whatsoever!
The first try [red lace] I had no meringue powder, but it worked anyway, the white batch, I forgot the glucose, but again, it worked! It's the best thing since sliced bread, so easy and pretty!
HI everyone! This is the recipe:
CRYSTAL LACE
½ CUP BOILING WATER
1 TBS TYLOSE
2 TBS CORN STACH
1 TBS ICING SUGAR
¼ tsp MERIGUE POWDER
½ tsp GLUCOSE
DROP OF COLOUR
ADD WATER TO TYLOSE, MIX TILL CLEAR – MUSNT BE GRITTY
ADD ICING – MIX
ADD CORN STARCH
ADD MERINGUE POWDER AND COLOUR
ADD SOFTENED GLUCOSE
SPREAD THINLY INTO MOULD. BAKE @50 DEG FOR 15-20 MINS TILL MATT
SPREAD THINLY AGAIN AND BAKE AGAIN
IF TOO DRY, PUT IN PLASTIC AND LEAVE OVERNITE
You may have to share this recipe (hint, hint). It appears to work beautifully. Love this mold, too.
