Made this decadent cheesecake as my contribution to a bb-q/party were attending this evening. Even tho I’m known as the “Cake Lady”….you get tired of makng cake all the time. So….something different. This is a cheesecake layered with apples…(from our backyard tree), pecans and homemade carmel. Finished off with caramel drizzled on top and a quick wafer paper flower with a pecan centre. Hope it will be a hit at the party. :o)

OMG!!! this makes me drool.....
ah bless little granddaughter looking out for him!
Ya-up Katy! And it was a doozy! Hubby was out in the back 40, mowing grass (back yard to you, we have 6 acres), when it started all these really long, LOUD, rumblings that sounded like they would not stop, and it was already sprinkling, when my little granddaughter got scared for him, and literally started running in his direction to tell him to come in! He could hear NOTHING, when he cuts grass, he wears ear plugs because the mower is so loud. So he came in, just in time too! All is well, that ends well! :o)
Bonnie - we didn't get the storm in the end. You must have had it for us!
Glad it was enjoyed June - never doubted it!
Sandra, I have a friend from Atlanta GA who used to be a work colleague. I went out to Atlanta twice for company training which was where I met him and became such good friends with him and his partner (he's VERY gay lol!). The y'all thing came from those days, the southern ladies accents tickled me pink and they just kept telling me how 'cute' my British accent was!
Yeap, I thought the same thing as Bonnie...cheesecake is still cake! This one looks completely decadent and I wish I was invited to the party! Hey, Katy, you go the "y'all" just right! Even used it in the correct tense, which most non-southern people get correct.
Also June, cheese'cake' still qualifies you as the 'Cake Lady'!! teehee
June, can you airmail me a piece? lol Bet it tastes as good as it looks too!
And Katy, we got that thunderstorm you mentioned, just about filled the pool. lol
ooow yummy
