Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Hi everyone-

I'm in NJ and looking to find jeweled/mesh trim for borders on an engagement cake, as well as single rhinestones to add to the quilted areas. I've attached a photo for what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have suggestions for where I can find them?

Any advice for using them?

This is a first request for this type of decor, and the bride-to-be is very specific about wanting to add this "bling" to the cake.

The event is in mid-March, so I have time to order, if needed.

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Wow!  That is gorgeous!  Love it

Thank you so much- My only regret

(besides the fact that anything purple always shows up so blue-ish in my photographs; those flowers were really a gorgeous, vibrant purple, but the color photographed so differently!)

is that the cake had to be placed in the fridge after this photo was taken. I know that the edible rhinestones probably clouded over and were not sparkly when they brought it out later. BUT- the cake was filled with chocolate Bavarian cream, the venue space was pretty warm and I couldn't let it sit out any longer- I had it out for quite a while while I was attaching all those rhinestones!

Lesson learned; I will tell all brides; you can have edible rhinestones OR creme patisserie filling- not both! Or your diamonds will not be so sparkly :)

Yes Paige a gorgeous cake! Wonderful job!!

I would try Michael's

It's so beautiful!!! More beautiful than the first picture....
