I'm venturing into gumpaste flowers and am curious what are your must haves? Any kit you can recommend? Thanks!

I really appreciate everyone's input. I'll be shopping online tomorrow. I did buy Alan Dunn's book. If I was smart, I would have started my gumpaste fun at the beginning of my injury.

anytime : ) this is the best place if you need help !

Look forward to seeing your efforts Jackie

Well, I've placed my order for my gum paste tools. My "kit" includes an exact knife, 4 piece metal ball set, 8 piece modeling tool set sugar craft  pad, and a 12 piece stainless steel flower and leaf cutter set. I bought the wilton ultimately decorating kit a while back and went thru  it again and learned I had several items already. I'm super excited to get started!!

Wow - what a fabulous array of kit you are getting!  It will pay off Jackie - so much easier to produce good work with the right tools.  That I have learnt to my cost!  Have fun.

awesome ,you will love the metal ball set , I love mine ! I also purchased some tools at harbor freight ! stainless steel ! they are also awesome

It didn't cost a lot, but I read thru a bunch of reviews before I picked each product so I'm hoping I got quality tools. I start my wilton class tonight(the buttercream basics) needless to say I'm pumped!!!
Have fun.... and get ready to smooth, smooth your icing.... and make a gazillion, ok, maybe not a gazillion, just a bezillion icing roses.... :o)
I have a feeling buttercream roses are going to be more difficult than gumpaste.

I think so , Jackie
