I'm venturing into gumpaste flowers and am curious what are your must haves? Any kit you can recommend? Thanks!

You need a flower former, tool kit, petal dust, brushes, floral wires, flower and leaves molders, cutters, board, rolling pin, flower nail, wax paper. These are just some of the things I can think of.
It all depends on how adventurous you want to be. Personally, I would start with the very simple basic flowers first, until you get the hang of working them. So, a simple 5 petal cutter perhaps, a ball tool for frilling and thinning and a foam pad to do your shaping on. As you get better and want to try more you can extend your collection of cutters, add floral wire and tape, veiners etc.
This is what I got when I first started
1. small rolling pin
2. modeling tools (don't recommend you get the plastic ones I've broken a number of them)
3. exacto knife
4. foam board
5. 5 petal cutters
Flower former are nice but not a must. You can use a lot of what you have in the home such as tube from paper towel (I cut it in half), egg carton, for larger flowers I use the plastic packaging from apples. sometimes just scrunched up inexpensive aluminum foil.
You are so right Katy. That should definitely be no. 1
Yeh - and a strong heart lol!

I'm still looking for it Jackie. Have messed up things often because I'm so impatient and just want to see it done.
You will find it at the end of the rainbow Jackie, along with that elusive pot of gold.
I agree with Katy & Goreti , all the way , the more you do the more you need ! or should I say want !!!
lol Goreti , I was thinking something wrong with me !! I have broken so many of them plastic tools , , but if they are wilton , just email them and they will replace them !!
