Hi, everyone! I need some help- I was rolling out fondant for a full sheet cake last week and broke one of the handles on my marble rolling pin. I ended up finishing my task "old school", because that's how I roll, lol
Has this happened to anyone, and were you able to repair it? I'd hate to give up my rolling pin, it was handed down by my grammy. I really appreciate any help I can get!
Thanks! Chef Miriam

I think you will be very lucky to fix this back to it's old strength. Honestly, the only thing I think that might do it is Superglue. That's what we call it in the UK, don't know if it's the same in US?
(Love your pun btw!)
Knives?! Looks like we both have to lay off the spinach!

Geez... Super human strength. Who am I to talk, I break knives regularly.
I'll do some research for you.

Chef Miriam said: I was afraid of that! My other half said the same thing about using superglue or bondo (at least he didn't suggest duct tape, lol). But I think you're right about not regaining its full strength :(
I may have to superglue it and keep it as a decoration. Thank you!

It's worth a try anyway Miriam. Oh yes, and remind me not to get into a fight with you two girls!
Miriam - hubby says use a good wood glue and a jubilee clip to hold it together! If you don't use the jubilee clip word there, he says you might call it a hose clip...............
Heh heh, my darling is grinning from ear to ear, thinking I lost my primary weapon. He forgets I have a nice knife kit... and several large fondant rollers!

I'll give the project to mine. Don't have a hose clip, but I do have a small vise that might do the trick to hold it together until it dries... Still hoping for a miracle!
