This is for another niece whose birthday was on 3/6. It is again champagne cake, orange curd filling, orange & champagne smbc, mmf. This is my second attempt at the ballerina. Made a mold from my daughter's barbie doll.

oh so pretty , love it
She'll change Goreti! Daisy used to be pink everything. Now her favourite colours are cyan and lime lol! Oh and she will only paint her nails 'goth'!!!!!!!!!!! (Did we paint our nails at 11? I don't think so, my Dad would have had a fit!).
Thanks Katy but I'm determined not to make the next cake pink. I know that her favorite color is pink so I figured I would do another pink cake. This is what happens when you have a family full of girls. lol
Goreti I just love this. Your bottom trimming is adorable and the colour - stunning! Great job.
Just lovely Goreti, your ballerina turned out beautifully!
Linda, I have used that frill cutter for sooo many things.
I think I have that same frill cutter. I'm going to remember that trick. I love how it looks.
If you have any very dark fabric, like black flowing dress type fabric that you can place behind it, it gives it a beautiful backdrop that will allow the cake to pop out at you.
Thanks Linda. I used the frill cutter. It ended up being slightly different from what I had sketched but I think I actually like this better. I'm pretty happy with it. Can't take a decent picture but one thing at a time. Cake actually looks better than in the picture. Might try another picture before my daughter takes it.
Yes, I agree Linda. Beautiful finishing touch. :o)
