Why it is important to name your photos properly.

Recently I've seen lots of pictures with large number codes used as the title.  It is important for the photo title to reflect the subject of the picture.  For example, if I saw your adorable Superman birthday cake and wanted to find it later how would I find it if the name is "123456789-5458436"?  Naturally, I would search for Superman and I wouldn't find it because the photo name does not include it. 

Also, some pictures are in need of a rotation.  If your photo is oriented correctly others will not get a pain in the neck viewing your photo.  

Here's how to make these changes -

Photo titles -

When adding your photos you will see a field for the photo name.  Please remove to default photo name which is from your computer or camera and enter a more appropriate name.  You can also add tags at this point for additional search keywords.

If your photo is already uploaded and needs to be retitled click the Options button above your photo and select Edit Details.  From that screen you can change the name, rotate the photo, add tags, etc. 

Add tags -

Click the Options button above your photo and select Add Tags.  A field will display where you can enter your tags.  Click save and you are done.
