Cake carrier...in a pinch
I am finding that cake decorators have to come up with solutions to problems on the spot... This doll cake wouldn't fit in any of the cake carriers that I have and I couldn't find a box tall enough to keep it in. I took a Sterilite container that I bought at Wal Mart, flipped it upside down and, voila....instant cake carrier that was tall enough for my cake. I put a piece of skid-proof shelf liner under the cake. This particular container has handles that lock in place. I was so proud of myself, I had to share... ;)- Attachments:

necessity is the mother of invention, great idea Kathy, thanks for sharing..would look so cute with some pictures of cakes and cupcakes and some cute sayings!!!! "cake on board".."let them eat cake" "birthdays are nature's way of telling us to eat more cake"!!!! :D

I once transported 300 cupcakes in those under the bed wrapping paper tupperware holders. They stacked wonderfully and were very sturdy. I also used the cabinet liner for some grip.
