Cake for my brother-in-law...inspired by Rima's pansy cake

I have been wanting to get brave enough to try something similar to Rima and Tim's lambeth cakes so since it was a cake for my brother-in-law, who is very forgiving, I thought I would give it my best shot. It is nothing as gorgeous as their cakes, but at least I had the opportunity to try this out. Thank you Tim and Rima for your beautiful cakes to use for inspiration!

Thank you Anne. It's simply a writing tip like number 3.

Linda, this has your signature on it.  I love your piping.  What is the tip that u used for the gold?

I really love how you did the red/green & gold on the sides.  Just enough color.

Thank you Goreti...not even close to how beautiful Rima's cakes are, but it sure did taste good. It was a sugar shock!
