Do you know if gum-tex by wilton is tylose powder. I have made 2 batches with the wilton recipe 3 cups icing sugar sifted 1 tablespoon of gum tex and 1 heaping tablespoon of glucose in 4 tbsp warm water micro30 seconds mixed sealed in zip lock baggie what I have gotten is a rock hard mess when I got up the next morning  from the first batch,  the second time it was gooey but stiff .I noticed the glucose was like pulled taffy to get out of the container and thought maybe it's old and out of date so I tried again using white corn syrup it in no way resembles the soft pliable stuff I see people working with on the videos .This will be 9 cups of powdered sugar and my last nerve for the most part any Wilton products I have used have been disappointing I am not sure I can get tylose powder in my area so I was wondering if tylose was gum-tex I need to start my project this weekend
