I usually store it on the refirgerator. And yes use small batches. And color as needed. The flowers is best to dry in an open space. I let them dry for a week. After that you can store them in a box, in a bed of paper or foam.
They will last for years.

Thanks for the tutorial, recipe and I need to get my tylose! If I do flowers or whatever and save them for months, how would you tell me the best way of storing them? I would assume after the flowers have harden first, then storing them - how? Ooops, a little out of order for this question I could just pull the amount I want from the batch and color it before I freeze it for use months later; correct?

It will last up to 6 months. But you can do flowers and save the flowers for years!

Thanks for the prompt reply Edna, how long can gumpaste be kept, either made from tyose or gumtex? The recipe you are showing seems to make a whole lot :)

Tylose and gumtex are both used for gumpaste, but the quality of tylose os far better than gumtex.
Each one has it's own recipe..I don't think exchanges will work.

Is tylose the same as gum tex?
