Thank you Debbie D. I bought the confectioners varnish from my local cake decorating supplier. If you use it you really need to make sure you don't let your brush dry with it still on it - can mean throwing your brush away. Tracy x

Michelle & Sidney, thank you so much for your lovely comment - it means a lot to me.
I was asked to put a little something together as a couple of people thought my butterflies were translucent - thought this the best way to demonstrate that they were all gum paste.
