This cake is so simple yet very  graceful and elegant. the butterflies are so beautiful your work is wonderful and so awesome. your instructional is well put together. thanks for sharing this.

Yes it does - a lot of people add cmc to fondant to give it the same texture. It's much more stretchy, you can roll it thinner and it dries solid. I buy mine from Squires already mixed - not the cheapest way to do it, but I get the same result everything that way :) x

Tracy if you add cmc? tmc? powder to the fondant, does that make it Gumpaste? I don't even know what the powdery stuff is that I added to my flowers this weekend but they seemed to dry in the proper way that flowers should?

You're very welcome Carlette. Remember to use Gumpaste/Flowerpaste for these though - it makes the butterflies as hard as porcelain. I'll look forward to seeing them in your gallery x

Tracy, this tutorial is perfect! I cannot believe you put so much work into all of those butterflies!! There is no way I could have made that many in such a short time frame! I also love how you add your choice of music...I do my best creating when I have music playing...usually violin, piano, and flute. You get my five stars!!!! (along with two thumbs up and two toes up!!) hee hee
