Thanks June I love playing with cake and icing. My father used to call me a frustrated artist  . I have been looking at your work also.I love your cakes and flowers,,, I look forward to adding more cakes and getting feedback... I would appreciate any tips ..  I am still learning and just having fun expressing myself through my cakes.

Thanks so much for you comments on my cookies.  I've been very busy lately so this is the first time I've been able to make it back to the site.

Thank you so much June for all your help. I was just trying to find a good White butter cream recipe for wedding cakes or fondant covered cakes. I need a good recipe for that. any  subgestions would be very helpful. When I use vanilla flavoring, I have noticed a somewhat chemical after taste. I use Wilton clear vanilla.

I saw on one of your comments you tried the Winebecklers butter cream icing. where did you find the recipe? I went to cakesuppliesplus.com where it said you could find the recipe but I couldnt find it. Could you please help me out and give me the recipe or email me with it at   Orr18@bellsouth.net thank you so much   Tracyo18

I'm actually spending WAY too much time on here tonight because I'm avoiding making fondant Winnie the Pooh figures.  Tigger attempt #1 got scrapped.  Thinking of starting with Pooh tonight.

You're welcome.  What happened was someone had pulled their cake photo off, so when I did a search for 122 it brought up the same number of photos I already knew about, so I wasn't looking for any new cakes.  I'll need to be more diligent about that!! :)

Sorry about that, June.  I added your cake to the contest.

I'm always looking to try making something different.  I will try the flour icing.  I've seen recipes and always wondered how it tasted.  No one in the family really likes the American Buttercream but I like the fact that it crusts.  With the Swiss Meringue buttercream, I cringe at the amount of butter.   Although I have been able to cut down on the butter & still get a nice frosting.  I've eaten low fat all my life so I'm always looking to reduce the fat content.

its horrible when your house is upside down, it seems to be never ending but i bet the end result will be worth it! i have never had a cake decorating lesson, im all self taught. i am a 3D artist who couldnt find any work so turned my modeling skills to cake, think im going to stick with what i do as i love it, its nice seeing the look on a customers face when they get their cake x
