Has anyone had experience with sanding sugars and edible diamonds on cakes? Iam making a wedding cake for december, and the fondant has to be covered with sanding sugar (white) and i will be adding the edible diamonds on the lace effects. My biggest concern is how to apply the sanding sugars & the edible diamonds? I wouldnt want them falling off.

If you are just looking for the sparkle you can also use pixie dust... but the sanding sugar is so pretty,. I love Edna's white cake with the sugar on it

you can crumple up some paper towel and blot the fondant with piping gell then dust the layers with the sugar and adhear the dimonds with gum glue or piping gell

thanks so much kathy, i found this very helpful, it appears the idea i had to adhere them with the gum glue was spot on. again thanks for taking the time.
