next i cut three of the smaller petals from the wilton large rose cutter, use whatever  cutter you have that looks like this shape. there are over 250 different varities of gardenia, the shapes of the petals are endless so you can get away with using similar cutters if you dont have the gardenia cutters. Once the petals are cut u wanna use your ball tool and soften the edges.

 

 

softening the edges, but these three petals donot go on floral wire as seen in this pic, i just wanted to show u how to soften. After you soften put a little gum glue or water on the base of the petals and adhere them to the covered teardrop shape

 

 

 

these three petals should be more relaxed and i dusted the inner spiral three so you can see them. let dry for approx 3hrs. Onto step 3
