I will be laid up for a few weeks the first of August... having my second total joint replacement on my knee so will be out of the loop for awhile. Rebecca, I did not see your comment on my photo until after I had responded to your post!  Anyway, gumglue... I use tylose powder and add hot water to it to make a thick paste.  Let it set over night and it makes the best glue to stick things onto your cake with.  To attach those pearls... I brushed the gumglue onto the fondant and put the pearls into a piping bag with a very small hole cut out of the bottom of it (I used a disposable bag) and then kept a tray under the cake to catch the pearls.  I bought several sizes of pearls too so it gave the look we were shooting for.  Good Luck!
