Hi Laurie,

It's so easy! You just mix up a regular yellow cake mix and put it in different bowls then tint the batter with different colors. (Don't use the fancy gel colors like you use for icing, just use the liquid drops that you get in the spice section of your store.) then you bake the different layers, level them, and stack them with a little bit of icing between the layers to make them stick, and viola!

It's so much fun!
