Kimberly,
I made molds for the medals and buttons and for the ribbons I cut white gumpaste into strips and attached it to black gumpaste backing then I painted each ribbon to match his exact uniform. The ribbons alone took me about 3 hours to do. But the medals that were fairly easy after making the molds. Let me know if you have any specifics and I will do my best to help you.
