Hi Katy. Yes I realise the time difference - but just couldn't upload since yesterday. Don't think it was anything to do with the site - rather my computer playing games - I've had problems for a couple of weeks now. I go to a website and use it as normal, everything fine. Then I revisit and it just won't let me do anything. I'm working on fixing my laptop as I'm sure that's where the problem lies.
I had a reminder email last night saying it was the last chance to post a picture and I started to try right away but just wasn't having any of it.
Hi Gaynor. I see from your Leaning Tower of Pisa cake photo that you had had problems uploading it. What sort of difficulties did you have? Is it something that should be reported to the site owner?
Don't forget also that we are in the UK and the deadlines set for the contests are US time (Eastern Seaboard). If you were trying to upload the photo today (Thursday), then it was too late anyway. Confusing eh? It's a shame, it's a great cake.
I'm a Moderator here on CWB. I would like to suggest you give your cake photos names and add tags (descriptions), ie: cupcakes, wedding, blue, etc., etc. When members search for cake inspiration, your photos won't come up because CWB site won't recognize the random numbers your computer assigned your pics. Ashame Gaynor as your cakes are wonderful. Members here are always searching for cakes. It is easy to do. Above your photos you will see Options, click on that, a drop down menu appears. Click on edit, add your title & tags and click save. Done & Done :o)
Hi Gaynor! I just took a slide show tour of all your cakes and figures. Great work! Your figures are really nice! Hope you do well in the cake contest and will be looking forward to seeing more of your work! =O)
Lorraine is very talented, seems naturally so, as it seems, are you. She can do more than just figures. Lucky you to have such a talented friend. I tried to get into one of her classes here where I lived a few years ago, but it sold out lickity split. So I did the next best thing, , I purchased several of her fondant figure tutorials. Very good. I ike pictures along with explanations, which Lorraines tutorials have plenty of. I bought clay, but have never ventured to try and use it for modeling. Such a different feel than gumpaste!
