I have been baking cakes on/off for years.  I decided to make it a full time hobby about 5 years ago and it quickly grew into a small business.  My business has grown by word of mouth.  One of my best resources has been the teachers from the local school district.  I will try new recipes/techniques and take the result to the schools for taste testing.  The teaching staff are very appreciative of the "treats" and honest in their opinions both good/bad.
