Thanks Katy, the cake was for a friend of mine's husband. He has a particular interest in the First world war! I had great fun making it.
I love your Anderson shelter. I'm not surprised that your granddaughter wanted to make a cake with you for her class project. It is beautiful. :D
Nice job Violet! You haven't been involved in a school project too have you? My granddaughter (11yrs), did a project on WW2 for school and they had to make an Anderson Shelter. Everyone else did Leggo etc, but Daisy decided she wanted to do one in cake form with Nanny! Turned out pretty well really (I posted a pic).
