So it's finally done. Think I may have overstretched myself a bit here! Wine bottle - gumpaste moulded over real bottle. Beer bottle - hand shaped (which is why it's so rubbish) from rkt covered in fondant and painted. Both labels hand painted, wine bottle to reflect hubby's favourite tipple. Box - vanilla sponge with apricot conserve, framed in June's chocolate fondant (the mess I got into with that is a whole other story). Fondant came out looking a bit like leather to me so I pursued that theme, studding the corners and 'stitching' the edges. Snacks - stilton in fondant, marked in navy paste, peanuts and biscuits in rkt coated in cinnamon and edible glitter. The dish has yet to be removed as it won't dry! Final touch of a sugarpaste rose (his birth flower for June), made to resemble the rose my mother bought him for his birthday a lifetime ago, but that is still flowering like a trooper every summer. I'm exhausted, but all in all, reasonably happy with the outcome. Eyesight has been a real trial with this one!
Oh and packing was grated white chocolate and packing peanuts in gumpaste

Oh no stop - my sides are aching!  I thought to myself - ' why only an ear of a teddy??????????'  Seriously, I learnt a lot about moulding rkt when doing this - mostly to remember the fact that you are going to cover in fondant and that it will end up fatter than your rkt shape, so make it a bit thinner than you want.  Also, if I'm completely honest, I was originally going to do a second, 3D wine bottle then changed my mind and had to shave the bottle down from it's original size - messy.

And that should be teddy Bear - not just the ear lol

Don't say rubbish - you are your biggest & worst critic - don't listen to yourself :D
I'm using RKT for a teddy ear and tree frog topper for my little brothers engagement cake & it's not the most forgiving of things to use. I'm giving it a good crush to give it a denser texture - hopefully it will give me a smoother base for my icing.
Well done again, Tx

Ah thanks Tracy.  Beer bottle was rubbish (first attempt at rkt moulding!), but happy with bottle and rose etc.

It turned out just brilliantly Katy - I love it. I see by your profile picture hubby was pretty delighted.

Linda - I think Amazon may have it.  It can't be shipped overseas though, as it's a pressurised container.  But try amazon.com

Thank you Katy....now to see if I can order something like that in the states. I don't know that I have ever heard of an edible finishing spray.
