My first "EXTREME" cake. The windmill turned via a small hobby motor that was regulated by a volume control toggle (potentiometer) purchased from Radio Shack. The cake base was a full sheet cake carved to look like uneven ground around a windmill. That cake was 1/2 Dk. Chocolate, 1/2 French Vanilla. The tower of the cake was base tier, was Dk. Chocolate, then the next tier was strawberry, then the next tier up was Fr. Vanilla and the very top tier was Strawberry-Banana. Made with BC, Modeling Chocolate, Gumpaste daisies, and Royal icing, used airbrushing to give the ground coloring and the open air effect through the windmill. Hand painted the modeling chocolate and the royal icing to have the cedar wood effect.
