Thanks for the tip, Diana :-) I am going to try making this Victorian rose now. Will post the picture soon.

For teaching yourself, you did a good job on the daisies, one of my personal favs!

As far as the Victorian rose, you use tip 97 and make it the same way as the regular rose.  The tip makes the petals curl more.   Follow the diagram in your practice sheets for the way you angle the tip and you should be fine.  Good luck!

Thank you so much for the encouraging comments :) You are right, daffodils are a little difficult, but not as much as getting the perfect rose, which I am still working on. :) Yes, daisies were not part of the curriculum, I just happened to learn it from the Wilton's Cake Decorating book :)

Any tips on how to get a get a perfect victorian style rose.

You did a great job!!!  Your daffodils look great.  Those are usually the most difficult, besides the rose for my students.  I see you have daisies on there.   We don't teach the daisies in the new curriculum, but I always try to squeeze them in if we have time.  I'm glad to see other instructors do too:)

I like the splash of colorful flowers you used in the cake. Just took Wilton's  Flowers and Cake Design. Absolutely loved it.

Please comment on what you think of my cake since you are a Wilton instructor :)
