Thanks for the comments.  Yes this is made from a set of moulds there are individual petals and than a semi sphere mould.  It comes in three sizes this is the small one but it is quite big.  It is a bit tricky to make as you have to attach the petals individually and support them while waiting for them to dry, unless you have a product called Eurochock which is a cooling spray for food (couldnt get hold of that here in Australia) so had to do it by the traditional method "patience".  The moulds are by a company called Martellato in Italy.  Im pretty sure they have a factory in the US too.
