Whimsical Topsy Turvy Cat in the Hat - 122F
This cake was for Reagan's 1st Birthday! The bottom cake is 3 layers of Vanilla pound cake carved to a topsy turvy and angled in sides and the hat is 6 chocolate and vanilla 6 inch round cakes! It was so tall we weren't sure it would make it! We stabilized it with poly dowels and a center wood dowel. It's covered in rich buttercream and fondant. The candles and #1 are fondant/gumpaste mix made 2 days ahead of time.

Very pretty cake...........I tried to make a topsy turvy a couple of months back & it turned out to be a disaster, dont have the courage to attempt another one again.
