This was the only entry in the Wedding Cake Division. It was very nicely done.

simple but elegant!!!
YES! The only one I have ever seen was The Great American Cake Show, near Baltimore. Went with the Wilton instructor, and 2 friends that also took the class. They had table after table full of CAKES, in all different categories, as well as age groups. And they had a lot of beauties entered in the 'main event'! They were all roped off with 'do not touch' signs! And they all had to have something smaller to match the theme beside them. That was something else!! WOW
Then the other half of the building housed all of the people selling things, as well as teaching, or giving lessons. Talk about a lot of stuff to buy..., it is a good thing I left my credit cards home, BY MISTAKE!!, or I would have loaded up! I would love another opportunity to do just that! I had enough, on me, to buy my lunch, and pick up a few things. Could not even help with the gas!
Absolutely, true, Bonnie. Wouldn't you just love to visit the Sugar Arts Show in Tulsa?!
My, but there is so much to learn...
I could not, of course, see the name of the individual who entered the other cakes. If they are still there when I go back, I will get the names and give credit where due.
This cake was gorgeous, perfect fondant and the flowers were a lot more detailed than can be seen in the photo.
Yes, June, you have a point. I just noticed a few days ago that the winners of the Tulsa Sugar Arts Show received many thousands of dollars in cash and gifts....even the fourth runner up received like $4,000 worth of cash and prizes. If I win a blue ribbon at the fair, I will get $8.00 - LOL - one of my friends joked that I could buy a corn dog (maybe!).
This is definitely a wedding cake!
this is a beauty.
It was very pretty. With all of the cake decorators in Nashville and surrounding areas, what a crying shame there were not more entries. We even have a designer in Murfreesboro (about 25 miles east of Nashville) who competed for The Next Great Baker and did a great job, too.
