how to put a figure on a surfboard

I make the board a week in advance drying with a skewer through it and into a piece of waxed paper then into some oasis( the stuff you stick dried flowers in)
When this has dried I thread one leg through the skewer and stick the other to it,( Make sure the skewer is damp.) let this dry then add the rest of the body.
