Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

Since fondant & I are not on speaking terms after the fiasco with my birthday cake, I decided not to cover this one in fondant. This is a guava cake with guava filling & vanilla cooked frosting. Used my marvelous mold onlay with some leftover fondant and the wafer flower.

Thank you both. @Betty, I find some of them easier to use than others.  This was the first one I used and I feel that this one of the easiest.  I do add more powdered sugar to the fondant to make it stiffer.

@Katy, we haven't totally broken up yet but I'm not ready to forgive & forget.

Oh Goreti - this is so gorgeous!  Stunning colour combination and the wafer flower fits perfectly.

OH !! Goreti this is so pretty. Sounds delicious.  I like your flower. How do you like the onlay stuff???
