Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I am getting all of the elements ready for a cake for Valentines Day, and one of them is this gum paste Victorian Valentine. I found one on line that I liked and used it for the outline. After I cut it out, I free handed the details using food paste colors and petal dusts. The flowers, hearts and hands are separate and give it more of a 3-D look. She will stand up on the cake.

Thank you Shirley. I see all of the flaws, smudges here and there, but I was still pleased with her. I attempted the Lambeth method on the actual cake I put her on in Royal icing. In real life, all of the super pearl luster dust just glimmered. In the picture it shows a little bit, but not like it should.

Thank you Tracy. I'm kind of curious to see how she will look on a cake too! lol

Thank you Goreti! I am making this for a cake drawing that I am having here in town for my Facebook friends and my husband and daughter's work friends. Tomorrow is my drawing to see who wins.
