A 6 tier wedding cake. The second and last tier were wrapped in Lace #1 from RVO. I had to make 12 panels of the lace to cover the 15" hexagonal cake since I wanted to look like drapes. I hand painted each drape with pearl dust and added silver dragges. The third and fifth tiers are the same mold from Elegant Cake Molds and the fourth tier is Lace #217 also from Carol Webb. I had to use the base provided by the bride and although it does not show, it had a light inside that changed in colors. Lastly the birdcage is a 6" hexagonal cake Nd was decorated using the texture lace set #1 from FMM and Wiltons. ALL of the lace decor was painted with pear dust so it could emphasize the details. I added sugar pearls in various sizes to look like bridal lace...and I think that's all. Oh wait, it was such a heavy cake that I could not put it together for a gorgeous picture at home, so I waited to the venue, and that is what happens...a hideous background.

Thank you Linda but it seems that no one likes this wedding cake...and I'm wondering why? Is it the base that was obliged to use? Is it the awful background?

I really loved this cake!
