This one really screams vintage and first time cakes. I think the girl I made this for now has grandchildren herself! That's how long ago I made this one. Didn't really have a clue what the heck I was doing, and her family was huge. I ended up making every one of her sisters cakes as well.

Thank you Tracy. This one was done so long ago. This was before it became popular to have each cake a different flavor, so it was all white cake. I know traditionally in GB, it's usually fruit cake, isn't it? Back then in our area, wedding cake meant white cake with a touch of almond. It is still a huge favorite here, but times have changed and a lot of brides will have all kinds of flavors. It must have been about 25 years ago when I made this.
Oh Linda - Vintage lace and roses......so romantic. This is an incredible bridge cake, so well put together. Love it :)
I LOVE it... I only wish I could have had a piece...
When I made it, I was more concerned about how many servings it would feed, and I should have paid more attention to the design of the cake. For a first shot, not too bad. The family liked it and ended up having me bake all of their cakes for their family. In fact, the fist communion cake that you liked (the heart with the cross) was made for one of their other daughters.
Beautiful Linda!!!
