Wine bottle birthday cake
Wine bottle made from gumpaste molded over a wine bottle. Fondant grapes and straw. I painted the bottle with a combo of green, blue and black food coloring mixed with vodka i then coated it with a combo of corn syrup and vodka. It took about 3 coats to get the right look.

Its just gum paste. I roll out gp and mold it on top of an empty wine bottle with a lot of crisco and corn starch on it-- only mold about 1/2 the bottle -- you want to be able to get it off easily. Allow 2-3 days to dry before painting.

this is stunning!! Is the bottle made completely out of gum paste? or is it cake moulded into a bottle then covered with gum paste?
