This is me (right) with my client who ordered the cake for her husband. I estimate the cake to be approximately 3 ft long by about 18 inches high.

Can't wait till you post em. And yes, isn't it grand to knoe all your hard work was appreciated. I must say that was a huge endeveor to have taken on. Don't think I would attempt something like this. This a hobby for me, so don't think I would get a request for a cake like this. Although I do now two super huge bike enthusists who would probably love this.
Again, super job.
Yes, she took lots of pictures for me! He stood behind it and pretended to steer it, they put stuffed animals on it "riding" it. So funny! What a lovely bunch of folks! I love to see people truly enjoying their cake!
Wow
This is amazing. I hope the client takes a picture of her husbands face when he receives it.
Thank, Rebecca, for the info. That is a great cake, incredible.

Lydia: The entire body area of the bike (saddle bags, rear and front fender, engine area, headlight section, and tank) are all made of cake and edible. The seat was made of wood to screw into a central dowel (which you can barely see under the center of the bike) for stability and support. The exhaust pipes and forks are PVC covered with fondant and painted with silver airbrush paint, the handlebars were made the same way, but with thinner copper tubing. Front and rear tire are wood (and screwed into the board), windshield is plastic. So it basically has three support points to hold it vertically: the front and rear tires, and the center dowel.
Incredible cake----WOW
Fantastic cake. Is it all cake? How did you get it to stand up.

Thank you. :)
