This is a cake I made for my sister-in-law for the staff party she had for her yoga studio. It's a gluten-free vanilla chai green tea cake with cream cheese icing. Tried for a high-texture plaster look. The flowers are gum paste stargazer lilies, plumeria and moth orchids.

Thank you!

Hi Paul! I actually just used Betty Crocker's Vanilla Gluten-Free Cake Mix. I made some super super strong/concentrated vanilla chai green tea and used that in place of the water that's called for on the box instructions. It came out pretty tasty! Not as sweet (which I like better anyway because the icing is sweet enough for me) and it's pretty dense, like a cross between carrot cake and pound cake, but moist, like a good carrot cake or banana bread. First time I used this mix to make a cake (the simple stargazer lily cake) I just used plain water for a vanilla cake and it cake out a little lighter/not as dense. It was super yummy too. This cake wasn't too great for sculpting though so I'm thinking of trying a gluten-free cake from scratch to see if I can come up with one I can use for sculpted cakes.
