This three tier cake is a combination of printed edible image and handpainting. I can never seem to get black to be uniform when I paint it and it ends up streaky!
The brides invitations were the inspiration for this cake.
Handmade edible leaves and carnations.

Just gorgeous Bettina. A real stunner. Have you tried balck food colouring mixed with piping gel?

Bettina, this is so lovely.  Really original and beautifully done.  Re streaky black, have you tried the powder colour 'Midnight' from Edible Art?  Don't know if you can get it where you are as I think they are a UK based company.  But I have used it dissolved in Vodka and it gives a really deep solid black.
