Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

I used a number of different ideas I got from the internet to make this birthday cake for my grand-daughter. The bottom is a large chocolate chip cookie baked in a 16-inch pan. I covered it with a thin layer of burttercream and then the colorful fondant. I cut the lettering out of fondant also. The roping on the bottom layer and the cow spots are made with fondant applied on top of buttercream. The box on the top was molded by melting semi-sweet chocolate morsels. I poured the melted chocolate out on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Then I cut the sides and flaps to the size I needed. I melted more morsels and put the melted chocolate into a piping bag to "glue" the edges of the box together. The box was kept cold in the fridge until I was ready to put it on top. I added characters that I ordered online.
