AHhhhhh  I hear ya.  If I had a cake business, like you, I would have died of a stroke a long time ago!!  That or either my husband would have killed me, especially if I had to make a cake like this .....  hee hee.  I drive him NUTS when I am caking!! I get so intense...freaking out

It has pvc pipe in the middle. but the hat itself was very heavy. I had to add more dowels AFTER the fact!!!... then re-fondant the bottom! Can you say mild stroke? :( but it held up with no problem after that.

It looks fun...but doing that hat....yikes. How the heck did you stabilize it??
