Im hoping to get this cake done for tomorow so i can get on with the next lol

I have to two dozen cupcakes to do and a giant cupcake christmas tree. No where near as mad as you though ;-)

Well you know what they say - less is more.  You can over fuss it, just because you want to put everything you have made on it (GUILTY!)

Looks like I need a manual 'pingy thing' now.

Oh btw - all the presents that I have are wrapped.  Still waiting on 4 in the post, so nearly there!

OMG Katy ! 6 more to make?!!! Our gas oven can be a bit of a prob. Some times it seems theres no heat in it then its fime. Hope the cake isnt too dry that's what im worried about.

I will try a halo again. I could use a few normal sized ones and some small ones ?

I think i will just have her in a circle of flowers, that sounds good. Fab idea Katy.

Hopfully grandad maybe home tomorow,although i dont think hes quite right. Weve had so many probs with the hospital not listening to us. Will have to see how he goes tonight and tomorow morning.

lol Lisa - glad the cracking stopped.  wow that was a long time cooking - but then all ovens seem to vary in temperature, which is a bit annoying.  The 'pinger' has just stopped working on my oven - terrific, what a time for that to happen with 6 more logs to make.........just nearly burnt hubbies cupcakes.

Funnily enough, I was thinking about mentioning a halo and then I thought - how in hell would you do that?  So I stopped myself saying it.  But I thought about it anyway....what about a string of modelling paste (it's going to have to be something that dries really hard for this to work), looped over at the top into a circle.  Leave it dry for a long while then try and stick it on with either edible glue or a tiny dab of royal icing.  Or if you have any white florist wire, just make the whole thing with that.

I think she makes a good topper on her own - why not just have her standing in a circle of flowers?

Thanks Katy. Ive now glued the flower in place and put a yellow centre in it too.

Im thinking she needs a halo ? (Ive tried with a peice of wire and sugarpaste but not working !! ) Would that be too much do you think ?

And, what can i do along with her on the cake ?

Oh, Katy, the cake was fine ! I did as you said and it didnt crack anymore. 

It took longer than i was expecting though over 4hrs !! I tested and skewer wasnt clean but its fine :-) Ive just marzipaned it ( first time ever !)  and covered in fondant.

Just need to think of something to put on the cake with the angel.

Thanks June, your right, just the one where it is. She's not exactly what i had planned and at one point i was going to roll up the sugarpste and either give it one more try or give up lol

She's not as cute as i hoped but i couldnt part with her now, although she's got to go on cake for a friend...i could do them something else... ha !
