They are one of the only ways to do real people. I did one of Edward from Twilight, and I've done Justin Bieber. I'm not sure there would be any other way of doing them for me. Definitely try them, they're kinda fun. They're like coloring in a coloring book, lol. :)

Ah - now I saw a tutorial somewhere on buttercream transfers.  Looked like a really good trick, must try it sometime!

No, much simpler, I did a frozen buttercream transfer :). They're great for doing characters!
