8" sponge cake made in the lid of a Pyrex dish and a 7" orange jelly made in the lid of a slightly smaller Pyrex dish and covered in chocolate. Jelly had 3/4 pint water but next time I'll use just 1/2 pint to make it even firmer. Chocolate was slightly too thick to cut without breaking but it tasted great.

Jaffa cakes are gorgeous Sandra! They're biscuits that have a soft sponge on the bottom, then a layer of orange jelly, topped with dark chocolate. One is never enough. In fact Mick and I got through a whole packet between us in about 5 minutes last Friday night. They were on offer at Tesco, so I bought a packet as they were going to go in Mike's 50th cake - but we ate them lol!
I am not familiar with "Jaffa" cake, but this looks delicious!
It was just a Rowntree's orange jelly made up with 3/4 of a pint of water instead of a pint.
Nothing, just sponge, jelly and chocolate.
No Lynette I didn't.
Oh my I can't think of anything yummier - I adore jaffa cakes.
