Tulips and Purple
All buttercream. I have never seen buttercream tulips on a cake so I decided to try and figure out how to make them. This is my version of a buttercream tulip. Top was airbrushed, used a template to get the scalloped oval.

Lydia, this cake is gorgeous! The tulips turned out nicely. I think you are giving me a case of piping envy, too, as are lots of folks on this site
