thanks rosalie its probably what you get used to ,i had only used royal icing before ,so i thought it was much easier

but i would struggle if it was just bc cos i've never done one ,there is almond paste under this fondant and  a decent thickness of fondant ,so it gives a better finish and a lot patience

Mary, I just love this cake.  It is absolutely beautifull and sone with such perfection.  I keep trying to work with fondant, but with only a little success
