Its good to lightly line the mold with shortening, make sure it doesn't get too thick or packed in the creases cause it will distort the image also. Soon as your done filling the mold, put it in the freezer for up to 15 minutes, it will pop out so easy its unreal, and the image will be perfect ...Let me know how it goes for ya next time you try it :o)

No I did not. I will try that. I did find that I had to coat it with alittle shortening to release it eaiser, but the freezing makes sense. No instructions came with it. I guess it should be pretty easy to figure out. Thanks for you info.

I used fondant also..did you put yours in the freezer before releasing it from the mold?

What did you use-fondant, gumpaste? I used fondant.

I got mine at Global Sugar Art too...wonder what the differnce is?

Can I ask you were you got your mold from? I purshased one from global sugar art and it doesn't seem to be as detailed on the head and face as yours is. Thanks.
