Cake Decorating Community - Cakes We Bake

This is a Steampunk theme wedding dress I made in a cake decorating class at a college. I used fondant and gumpaste for all the ruffles, decorations, and the feathers. The base of the hat was made from pastillage to give it the strength I wanted to hold up. I used a alligator skin mold to give it a interesting texture to the hat and the front of the dress. The lace on the dress is from different molds. The ruffles under the hat, I used small circles that I bunched together and attached to that section which was a angled riser.
